Menopause and Sleep: What Every Woman Should Know

We welcomed certified sleep agent Ieva Anskaitienė to help break the taboo and lead a supportive conversation on Menopause and Sleep: What Every Woman Should Know. With compassion, Ieva shed light on how hormonal changes during menopause can impact sleep, from insomnia and night sweats to the persistent fatigue many women experience. Participants gained both knowledge and strategies for better sleep. Ieva shared evidence-based techniques for regulating body temperature, calming the nervous system, and creating bedtime rituals that restore balance. The session also provided a space for women to share personal experiences, helping them realise they are not alone during this phase of life.

Key takeaways from the workshop:

Tips for your own practice of inner peace:

  1. Keep your bedroom cool and well-ventilated to ease night sweats

  2. Try mindfulness or breath-based practices to calm the body before sleep

  3. Maintain a consistent evening routine to signal rest.

  4. Keep moving/exercising, especially during this phase

  5. Seek Support! You don't have to navigate these challenges alone.

The workshop was a reminder that while menopause brings unique challenges, with knowledge, self-care and community, women can reclaim restful nights and feel more empowered in their wellbeing journey.
