We recently welcomed Karmen Tang (@goodforyou.karmen, @tangkarmen) who is a nutritionist, content creator and founder of Good For You. Karmen inspires thousands to embrace food as medicine, using nourishing recipes and practical advice to help people look, feel and live their best.
At the workshop Nutrition 101 – Eat Well, Feel Better, Look Better, Karmen highlighted that before exploring new health trends it is the foundations of nutrition, movement and sleep that matter most. She shared insights on balancing macros, essential vitamins, food tweaks that support better sleep and steps for improving digestion and blood-sugar balance.

The session was interactive and practical, offering participants strategies they could apply immediately. From quick meal-prep tips to supplement guidance, Karmen’s approach showed how wellness can be simple and sustainable.
Key Takeaways:
- Prioritise protein at each meal to keep energy steady
- Magnesium-rich food for better sleep: bananas, nuts, coconuts, seeds, chickpeas and tart cherry juice
- Eat the rainbow - our gut loves diversity
- Insufficient sleep impacts our hormones and thus impacts appetite and makes us hungrier
- Magnesium Glycinate for better sleep.
Heveya extends appreciation to Karmen for her guidance and to all who joined us for making the workshop such a meaningful evening.
