On Saturday 14 November, Heveya and Future Resonance are turning New Bahru's School Hall into a shared space to lie down, close your eyes and simply rest. Live gongs, low light and a landscape of mattresses take the place of the usual noise of the day.
There is nothing to follow and nothing to get right. Everything you hear is played live, in the room, on gongs, singing bowls, chimes and drums. Large gongs carry a lot of low frequency, so the sound is as much felt as heard. Some people drift. Some fall asleep. Both are fine.
Choose how long you'd like to rest. Acoustic Sound Healing is 60 minutes with no guidance, just sound. Deep Rest & Sound is 120 minutes. It begins with gentle guidance to help you settle, then moves into a longer sound journey led by Joshua Garcia Reyna, a sound practitioner with over a decade of experience. If you're not sure which to pick, start with the 60-minute session.
You'll rest on a Heveya natural organic latex mattress, with gentle cushioning, a supportive feel and an open cell structure that lets air circulate. Mattresses are refreshed and sanitised between sessions, and every guest gets a fresh pillow slip.
Good to know
